Major announcement from Carter Motorsport.

2007 has already proved to be a 'big news' year for Carter Motorsport as we announced the massive sponsorship deal with American Oil giant, Lucas Oil.
It's safe to say that this deal has taken us to another level in terms of our approach to the forthcoming FIA Top Fuel championship and it is with great pleasure that we announce the following.

Andy Carter, two time FIA European Top Fuel champion will be driving the Andersen Racing Top Fuel car for the 2007 season. This car is one of, if not the finest and most up-to-date fuel cars on the European circuit and of course, the car that Håkan Nilsson shoed to the 06 FIA title.
Following Håkans surprise decision to hang up his fire suit earlier in the month, it was not long before in-depth discussions were being held between Andy and the Danish team. The new deal was finalised in person as Andy visited Karsten and Per in their home nation last weekend.

'Carter Motorsport is committed to obtaining maximum exposure for their primary sponsor, Lucas Oil. This is not something we take lightly and this deal is very much a response to this objective. With Andy at the wheel of the Andersen Racing car, we will once again be able to use the Carter Motorsport Top fueller for the many show / public appearances already in the diary for 07. The two cars will enable us to significantly raise brand awareness for Lucas Oil and associated sponsors throughout Europe and ultimately assist in increased sales.' said Dan Welberry of Carter Motorsport PR and Marketing.
'We are also very proud of our outstanding list of associate sponsors. We are sure that they will also be delighted with this deal and see it as further commitment by our team to raise their profile.' he continued.

It really is a state-of-the-art Top Fuel machine, capable of the consistent 4.8's that we believe will be needed to win the title this year. The Andersen Racing team have already stated that 4.7's have to be the objective for this season and I am more than ready to do all I can to see those numbers on the board. Per and Karsten have been good friends for over 10 years now and I am really looking forward to working with them.
