Load for Nec Autosport

On a typical English winters day, ie wet, cold and thoroughly miserable, a group of team members gather at the Carter Motorsport workshop to do the final prep on the Dragster for its trip to Autosport next week.

Guv, Dan Ford, Neill, Lion, Dave, Andy and Derek lined up bright and early to get the car sorted ready to transport. Of course, the ideal weather for this is sunshine and a light breeze to keep you cool, Gerrards Cross in January instead served up filthy weather, at least until the car was on the truck, then it stopped!

The new colour scheme, courtesy of Dan Welberry, has been transferred onto the car, partly by paint (Andy Przybyl and Rich Bruton) and partly by vinyl, and pretty fine it looks too!

The car itself is ready to run, but to be truly competitive it needs several more weekends of hard work. The remaining parts are on their way from Gary Burgin in the US and we hope to be ready for some shake down runs before the Main Event in May. We'll let you know dates nearer the time.

The car will be taken to the NEC on Friday 12th, ready for our Saturday unveil (12 midday). Remember we are on the Santa Pod stand 11216, in Hall 11. Oh, and look out for the new website, crew wear, hero card and poster on Saturday, we plan to launch them all at the same time.

So, see you there. Is the anticipation killing you yet?
