Carter - Defend and Attack!

With the worlds eyes on the World Cup this Summer, you'd be forgiven for thinking that four time FIA Top Fuel Champion Andy Carter had moved in to football management! You'd be wrong as this simple statement sums up Carter's desire for the 2010 season - to defend his title and attack every race, potentially making further history, by recording a hat-trick of FIA Top Fuel titles in a row, a fifth overall!

Andy Carter and the Lucas Oil / Andersen Racing / Carter Motorsport Top Fuel Team are ready to start the defence of their FIA European Championship title at the Main Event, held at Santa Pod Raceway over the Bank Holiday weekend. Once again Andy will step back into the seat of the Andersen racing dragster after Per, Karsten and the team's very successful trip to the USA, during the European off-season. As always Andy only has his eye on one result - "We will be going for the championship from the very first run! I want to make it three titles in a row." Carter commented. Crew Chief Karsten Andersen added "We had an awesome time racing in America at the NHRA events. It was a dream come true, but we can't wait to get back to Santa Pod and we'll be pushing to get our European season off to a flying start".

The site will be regularly updated with exclusive news and photos from the track throughout the season and fans are encouraged to click the 'like' button and become an Andy Carter fan. At the FIA season opener, over the May Bank Holiday weekend, Andy will be on hand to sign copies of his updated and re-issued book - 'King Of Europe' as well as the latest hero cards, with dedicated autograph sessions at 2pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday in the Lucas Oil pit. Souvenir hunters should also stop by for their chance to own a limited edition Andy Carter / Don Garlits crew shirt, as worn by Andy and the team in Pomona for just £80. The Carter Motorsport merchandise area will also be stocked with copies of the fascinating story of Don Garlits development of the rear engine dragster - 'R.E.D', as well as Don Garlits t-shirts.
