The British summer finally arrived... and the timing couldn't have been better for fans of the modified car scene! On the 3rd/4th/5th August tens of thousands of petrol heads descended on a sun drenched Santa Pod for the 2007 Ultimate Street Car event.

The modified car scene has grown massively over the past few years and is now a multi-million dollar international industry, where better than at one of this industries premier events to showcase the fantastic products of Lucas Oil. All weekend Carter Motorsport had the Lucas Oil Top Fuel dragster on display complete with merchandise stand selling a range of Lucas products. We were given a prime position in the pits opposite the Vibe "Bass Tunnel" - a brilliant piece of acoustic engineering which shook your insides from 50ft... but the novelty did wear off after a few hours - if only we could have fired the car up and made some real noise!

The weekend was spent talking to thousands of interested spectators, many of whom had never seen a Top Fuel dragster before. As always members of the super crew were on hand to answer questions and explain how the 6000bhp monster works. Several boxes of our new hero cards were given away and if just 10% of those who said they would come and support us at the European Finals do it is going to be a very busy weekend!
