At the end of the session Andy occupies the third qualifying spot. Urs Erbacher ran a very good 5.05 to take number one spot. Ahonen and Nystad left oil in their lanes.

Good morning and welcome back to Alastaro. The Lucas Oil dragster was warmed up this morning and everyone is looking forward to the first round match up with Micke Kagered. A short while ago we towed down to the start line, but were turned around when it started to rain. The sky is very overcast and we are now back in the pits waiting for the weather to clear.

8th July, 2007 - 19:00 - Evening Update

It’s started raining here at Alastaro and the decision has been made to cancel the event. A disappointing end to the second FIA championship round as we would have loved to get the chance to race Erbacher in the semi final, however the car is running very well and we are more than confident going into the third round at Mantorp in three weeks time.

Thank you for tuning into our updates this weekend. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our sponsors for their continuing support… Lucas Oils, NGK Spark Plugs, Binamic, Pioneer Print, Crane Cams, K&N Filters, Yuasa Batteries, BMRS, Sigma Signs, Antiqus-2000, Rainbow Conference Sets, 3T Creative, Norfolkline Ferriers, RCS Cables, Teng Tools, CAAR, Autotel and AACI.
